How to Drop Kids Off at Dodd
How to Pick Kids Up from Dodd
Please be reminded that any student with a fever (100 degrees or
greater) must be “fever-free” WITHOUT medication for 24 hours before
returning to school. We welcome any donations of Lysol wipes as we
keep the classrooms sanitized
TARDIES
Please be reminded that
class instruction starts at 7:30 a.m. Students should be in their
classrooms at their desk at that time. Students are considered
tardy at 7:30 a.m. Please work with us to ensure that your child
gets the most from each school day!
ANNUAL FOOD DRIVE
Dodd is once again participating in the Annual canned food drive to
benefit the Christian Care Center of Wylie. Canned goods are being
collected by grade level. A memo has gone home with a list of items
that are needed. Canned goods need to be in by Friday, November
13. The grade level with the most cans will win a popcorn party!
Let’s show how much we can help others during this holiday season!
PICTURE MAKE-UP DAY
Make-up day is scheduled for Tuesday, November 17. There are still
order forms available in the office if you would like to order
picture packets.
3rd GRADE FIELD TRIP
Our third grade students will be going to the Dallas Heritage
Village on Thursday, November 19 for an educational field trip.
Dallas Heritage Village is
a living history
museum
portraying life in North Texas from 1840-1910. The museum is
composed of
38 historic
structures
& boasts a working Civil War era farm, a traditional Jewish
household, elegant Victorian homes, a school, a church & commercial
buildings. The students should gain much hands on knowledge of
Texas history through this trip.
REPORT CARDS
2nd Six weeks report cards will be sent home on Thursday,
November 19. If you have any questions, please contact your
student’s teacher.
THANKSGIVING BREAK
School will be closed November 23 – 27 for Thanksgiving break.
Classes resume Monday, November 30.
RECYCLING @ DODD
Dodd is recycling once again! Do you want to get rid of your old
magazines, phonebooks and newspapers?….bring them to our Abitibi
Recycling Containers in the back parking lot.
4TH GRADE AUSTIN TRIP
Payments for the 4th Grade Austin trip can be sent to Ms. Duvall
until December 9, 2009. If you have any further questions, please
