The student will...

  • be proficient at using equipment such as beakers, test tubes, and spring scales to collect, analyze and record information
  • examine patterns, systems, cycles and physical laws
  • classify and identify physical and chemical properties, relationships of matter and energy, and structure and function of organisms
  • understand through research the natural world and describe by the physical, mathematical, and conceptual models
  • understand that a system is a collection of cycles, structures, and processes that can be described in terms of space, time, energy, and matter
  • understand that the natural world is explained by models but that the models can change through continuous research
