Graduation Profile The Wylie Independent School district, in partnership with parents and the community, will provide all students a world-class academic education, which will prepare them to lead successful and productive lives. 9-12 Graduation Requirement Summary- The requirements listed below give students the opportunity to graduate under three different graduation programs. All three programs require a total of 24 units of credit in order to graduate. Additional credits of electives for all programs are available to allow students to pursue exploratory courses in many areas.
- All high school transcripts of graduating seniors will have seals attached which will record one of the three following notations:
- State of Texas Distinguished Achievement Program
- State of Texas Recommended High School Program
- Texas Minimum Graduation Plan (referred to as Wylie/Texas Minimum Plan below)

- For all graduation plans, courses counting for Fine Arts credit are as follows: Art, Theatre, Band, and Choir
- Courses counting for the Technology credit are as follows: Business Computer Information Systems I or II; Computer Science I; Web Mastering; Independent Study in Technology Applications; Business Image Mgt. and Multimedia; Multimedia, Digital Graphics and Animation, and Animation Technology.

GUIDELINES FOR WYLIE/TEXAS MINIMUM PLAN- Students graduating under the Wylie/Texas Minimum Plan may take Algebra I, Geometry, and Mathematical Models with Applications for required math courses. Students graduating under the Wylie/Texas Minimum Plan must take Integrated Physics and Chemistry and Biology. The third year of science may be selected from Chemistry, or any other approved science elective course offered at Wylie Senior High School.
