The Wylie ISD Curriculum is divided into Bundles. Bundles support and ensure student student learning expectations are organized into rational, coherent “units” of instruction. Bundles cover one, three or six weeks of curriculum content depending on the subject. The purpose of the Bundles is to provide a map of the year to ensure all curricular objectives are addressed at some point in time.
In each bundle the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) are listed. The TEKS are comprised of two pieces – the Knowledge and Skills statement and the Student Expectation. These two parts of the TEKS can be found in the first and second column of each bundle document. In addition to these two pieces, the Wylie ISD Curriculum Writing Teams clarified the learning objective further. These clarifications are in the third column of the bundle document.
Bolded Knowledge and Skills statements and Student Expectations are tested on the Texas Assessment of Knowledge Skills (TAKS) test.
