Vanessa Stuart- Assistant Principal
It is exciting to begin my second year as assistant principal for R. F. Hartman. I am originally a Lubbock native and moved to Wylie ten years ago when my husband’s corporate headquarters relocated to this area. I have two sons, Garrett and Braydon, and we are active in our church, baseball, and band. In our free time, we love to play board games and swim.
I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree from West Texas A & M University in Canyon and then began my teaching career in Lubbock. I received my Master’s Degree from Texas Tech in Curriculum and Instruction with a Minor in Special Education. When we moved to Wylie I taught 3rd grade for a year before working as a diagnostician for the Collin County Special Education Cooperative. Before coming to Hartman, I served two years as the Elementary Curriculum Coordinator for Wylie.
This year begins my 17th year in education and my 10th year in Wylie. Being a part of the “Cool Cat” family is a blessing every day. The faculty and staff work to make decisions based on what is best for children and design engaging lessons, provide opportunities for leadership, and meeting the needs of the “whole child”.
It is my pleasure to welcome you into our campus to see the fantastic things that happen at Hartman on a daily basis. Please feel free to contact me if I can be of assistance in any way.
