1. Evening
School occurs in Room 204 on Tuesdays and Fridays from 3:30
p.m.-6:30 p.m. It may be assigned for disciplinary or for attendance
reasons.
2. Students
who are 15 minutes late (or beyond) will be considered absent and
will move to the next level of the discipline plan. It is the same
consequence as skipping it. If you leave early and do not stay the
entire time that you were assigned, you will also be denied all
credit for attending.
3. Students
may not talk, even if assigned for attendance reasons.
4. While
you may be given an assignment by the Evening School teacher, bring
work to do. If you are asked to leave by a teacher, you do not
receive any credit for attending. Make sure you act appropriately
and bring work. All school rules such as dress code policy are
still enforced.
5. Students
who are assigned for Evening School for attendance reasons
will not be subject to the punitive assignments of ES, but they must
work on their own assignments and remain quiet.
6. If
you do not attend Evening School, the assistant principal may assign
additional days of Evening School or In-School Suspension.
7. Disruptive
or non-compliant students will be referred to the office if
necessary, and will move to the next level of the discipline plan.
8. Rescheduling
of Evening Schools will only be permitted with administrative
approval PRIOR to the date of the Evening
School. Once the Evening School is missed, then consequences stated
in #4 above will be enforced. Due to the number of students in
Evening School, rescheduling will be kept to a minimum.
9. In
case of an emergency, parents may contact the Evening School
room directly at 972.429.3221. Students are not permitted to call
this number.
If you have any questions, contact Mr. Craighead.
