The PTA is off and
running. If you are new to Burnett, here is an overview of the
programs that Burnett Junior PTA supports. We still have board and
committee positions open. Please contact the committee chairperson
listed below for committee positions or the board President for
board positions.
The Membership
Committee is recruiting for PTA Membership. Your membership dues
($5.50) supports all of the PTA programs, with a portion going to
the National PTA and the Texas PTA. Please contact Courtney

Feed the Athletes is a
program that supports the athletes and coaches of our campus.
Parents may order a meal for their child on game days by filling out
a form and returning it to the office. PTA volunteers will pick up
the food and deliver it to the school on game day. Any questions or
concerns should be addressed to Liz Kown by

Spirit Wear is
available this year. We have a cool new design and it looks great!
You should be receiving an order form soon. Check out the trophy
case to see a sample of the T-Shirt. We are also selling drawstring
bags (14”X18” maroon bag with white lettering), sweatshirts, and
a hooded sweatshirt. Costs are as follows: T-shirts $12.00,
drawstring bag $10.00, sweatshirts $20.00, and hooded sweatshirts

Special Events
Committee hosts the fun student activities throughout the year. This
committee is responsible for dances and parties. Our first dance
will be held on September 30, 2005 from 7-10 p.m. Dance tickets will
be sold for $5.00 per person. This cost covers all concessions, as
well as, entry to the dance. If you would like to help out with the
dances or if you have any questions you may contact Gina Matthews by

Staff Appreciation
Committee works to do special things for the staff of Burnett. We
provide meals for the days that the staff is required to stay late.
We celebrate staff birthdays with cakes on a monthly basis. If you
are interested in serving on this committee or donating items please
