Bad
weather will require that school be closed only when hazardous road
conditions exist. Since the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
requires that all school days missed be made up through a
revised school calendar, it is best to follow the original
school calendar if possible.
Due to the TEA
requirement mentioned above, the fact that weather conditions
change rapidly, and the considerable time required in checking
bus routes, it is sometimes necessary to make decisions to close
school at the latest possible hour.
